| Jubilee:
We began to minister in the Bryan Jubilee the first summer we were downtown. over the years we developed a significant ministry to the carnival workers. When the Jubilee was restarted in 2001 after a couple of years off, the Chamber of Commerce asked us if we would be willing to have a tent that served "real food". We saw an opportunity to minister to our community and at the same time to continue our ministry to the carnival workers with our annual Home Cooked "midnight" meal so we decided to take on the challenge. Martine Zwayer and Rene Tewksbury took on the task and came up with our menu of BBQ pork sandwiches, creamed chicken sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans and Brookview Farms open pit chicken. Our speciality item is the "Jubilee Brownie". This ministry is used as an outreach to our community where people are there to listen if someone needs to talk and we can be a place of peace during this stressful week.
